The chunky sneakers look is in full swing, and brands from both ends of the prestige spectrum are taking their shots at the popular trend. Balenciaga's Triple S model has been at the forefront of the charge, in terms of both price and excessiveness.
And it may have finally met its match.
Louis Vuitton's new Archlight sneaker not only gets more expensive, its design is even more outlandish. The sneaker made its debut at the fashion house's Spring/Summer '18 fashion show, and has recently landed at retail. Along with its oversized tongue, the Archlight's signature feature is its exaggerated and high arching outsole. The shoes are available in a variety of colorways, including versions with the brand signature "LV" monogram print—a sampling of which can be seen below.
For those that feel the Triple S just doesn't earn quite enough attention, the Archlight is available now for $1,090.
