This year marks And1's 25th anniversary, and to kick off the celebration the brand has announced a new partnership with ones of its most prolific former endorsers: Kevin Garnett.
According to the press release, And1 will be launching a capsule collection that will be co-designed by Garnett. Items will include footwear, apparel, and accessories, but as of now, there are no specific details available.
“As we look to the future, we’re excited to bring Kevin Garnett back to And1 as the brand’s creative director, global ambassador, and strategist," explained Eddie Esses, president of Sequential’s Active Division, the current parent company of And1. "We’re looking forward to working with Garnett and rolling out the innovative programs we have planned for the year.”
Garnett wore Air Jordans and Nikes early in his career, carrying his own signature line with the latter for three models. He left Nike for And1 in 2001 where he again had a signature line before later signing with Adidas and then Anta for his final years in the league.
Garnett has maintained his NBA presence since his retirement and currently hosts his own "Area 21" segment on TNT's Inside the NBA.
