As Adidas continues to search for its footing in the basketball footwear market, Marc Dolce and the Brooklyn Creator Farm are leading the charge. Poised to not only change the way Adidas is perceived in basketball, but to leave a mark on the category's future, the team is steadily rolling out new concepts and rounding up creators to raise the proverbial bar. That was on full display at Adidas' 747 Warehouse St. space in Los Angeles during All-Star Weekend, when Dolce apparently gave us a glimpse into the future of Adidas Basketball.
In a recent Instagram share, Dolce shared this Futurecraft 4D Basketball sample likely created at 747, suggesting that it's an early look at what's coming from the farm. Just by looking at the shoe, there's some obvious on-court function concerns, but he never said this particular design is being sent to retail, so expect things to be a bit more refined by the time Futurecraft 4D Basketball makes its eventual debut.
For now, Futurecraft is available on select running, training and lifestyle Y-3 silhouettes. Expect more pairs to be available as the year unfolds.
