Debuted at the Tokyo Marathon by Adidas athlete Wilson Kipsang in 2017, the AdiZero Sub2 will be worn by Kipsang once again to run the marathon this year in celebration of the silhouette's first time being released to the public.

Dubbed by Adidas as the 'lightest and fastest running shoe' it has ever created, the AdiZero Sub2 is designed with the intention of helping runners complete a sub-two hour marathon. It is constructed of a lightweight, single-layer black mesh upper with Microfit to provide additional support and comfort. Grey Three Stripes branding can be seen on the side panels as well. This pair's main feature is the Boost Light technology in the midsole, the lightest Boost foam ever made. Cosmetically, the midsole sports a silver marble pattern. This is the first time this pattern has been used on Boost. A Continental Microweb outsole maximizes grip and reduces slippage for the runners as well.

Originally, the AdiZero Sub2 was only released in very limited quantities to select marathon runners at the Berlin Marathon Expo in September 2017.

The Adidas AdiZero Sub2 will be available at adidas.com and other select Adidas retailers on March 15 for $180.
