Yesterday, Y-3 held its latest runway show in Paris for its Fall/Winter 2018 collection. Along with the usual Y-3 reinterpretations of  various Adidas models, the show also debuted Y-3's capsule inspired by Houston Rockets superstar James Harden.

Models in the show rocked one of two versions of The Beard's new premium Y-3 sneakers. All-black and black/white versions of the shoe were revealed that combine high quality suede, leather, and neoprene across the upper, finished off with designer Yohji Yamamoto's signature stitched on the toe.

The biggest feature to take note of is the midsole used on Harden's Y-3s. The shoes utilize the same tooling seen on Adidas' new BYW (Boost You Wear) basketball model that takes inspiration from the shape of the classic '90s Feet You Wear silhouettes by Adidas. True to the '90s (and current footwear) trends, the unique shape of the Boost tooling gives this pair a chunky look.

This is not the first time we have seen this shoe. Harden teased that the pair would be officially revealed at Paris Fashion Week on his Instagram a little less than a week ago. There is no word when the JH Boost will hit retailers, but expect the Harden Vol. 2 to debut at retailers during 2018 NBA All Star Weekend in February.
