Thus far, Stephen Curry's Under Armour game shoes have typically been high-tops, presumably to help him deal with his history of ankle injuries. However, it looks like a new direction was taken when crafting the upcoming Under Armour Curry 5.
While not officially announced by Under Armour, leaked images and renderings suggest this is indeed the 2-time MVP's next signature sneaker. If this is the Curry 5, there's still plenty of learn about the design and implemented technology, but there are a few details worth pointing out off the bat. In addition to the low-cut, there's bootie construction, a unique speed lacing system and an overlay that runs from toe to heel. This also appears to executed in the "Dark Matter" colorway from the All-Star Curry One, perhaps giving some credibility to the rumor that this shoe may hit the court soon.
Again, this hasn't been confirmed, but all signs point to the shoe pictured being the Curry 5. Keep it locked for more on this drastic shift in the line as Under Armour prepares its official rollout.
