Player Exclusive sneakers are a perk for athletes, but often leave fans feel like they're missing out on some of the best colorways. Through the first 5 games of the season, LeBron James has worn five different pairs of the Nike LeBron 15, only one of which pops up on the release calendar. However, according to a bit of news that was dropped at Investor Day, that won't be the case by season's end.

In the coming months, Nike will launch LeBron Watch, a program that will make select Nike LeBron 15 PEs available to consumers through SNKRS the moment James steps on the court. Nike also says it will bring back the most-voted product at the end of the season, though it's not clear exactly how that voting will be conducted.

Nike took a similar approach to launching the KD 10 earlier this year. When Kevin Durant took the court for Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the "Still KD" KD 10 was briefly made available through the app.

It's not clear exactly when LeBron Watch will be live, but we'll keep you posted as the situation develops.

UPDATE 01/30: Nike Media Relations Director Josh Benedek and Product Line Manager Tim Day have shared additional details on the #LeBronWatch program. According to Benedek, James will be wearing a series of PEs inspired by "iconic athletes and Nike shoes"—the first of which is the Waffle Trainer-themed Nike LeBron 15 he's wearing for tonight's game against the Detroit Pistons. Five of these PEs will be available on the SNKRS app as soon as James steps on the court wearing them. Based on Day's Instagram video, these PE themes will include Griffeys and Diamond Turfs. Check out the social media posts as well as an on-court look at the "Waffle Trainer" PE below.
