Last week, Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics took a trip across the pond to take on the Philadelphia 76ers for the NBA London Game 2018. On court at the O2 Arena, Irving rocked a special PE version of the Kyrie 4 inspired by the city. Now, that PE of Irving's fourth signature model is getting a limited release in Europe.
Like many of the Kyrie 4s that have already dropped, the "LDN PE" is a colorful concept. It sports a purple mesh and synthetic upper, a stitched-on white Swoosh, red Kyrie branding, and a yellow and white-striped outsole. Premium touches come in the form of purple suede on the toe and tongue, as well as a yellow suede panel on the heel.
The inspiration for the colorway comes from the crest of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. This theme further comes across thanks to the red violin sound hole pattern on the heel area, which also points to Irving's love for music. For what it's worth, the Celtics notched a win in London with Irving chalking up 20 points.
The Nike Kyrie 4 "LDN PE" will be a European-exclusive drop. It arrives at nike.com and other select European retailers on Jan. 18 for £105 (app. $146).
