Nike released a gold Air Max 97 this past October for international soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo with patchwork details, and the theme is back just two months later–this time on an Air Force 1.

According to Nike, the inspiration stems from Ronaldo playing so much soccer as a kid that his mother would sew patches on his shoes once he’d worn holes in them. Rather than covering the upper like on the Air Max 97, the theme is limited to the Swoosh this time, on an otherwise mostly standard pair of white-on-white AF1 Lows. Additional detailing includes Ronaldo’s C7 logo on the left heel, and his signature embroidered in gold on the shoe’s lining.

While there’s no word of a U.S. release yet, Nike’s U.K. site shows a launch scheduled for Dec. 7. for approximately $115.

Update 01/04: Nike has confirmed that the "Golden Patchwork" AF1 CR7 will release in the U.S. on Jan. 11.
