Readers old enough to recall the nascent days of Jordan Brand may have fond memories of the Jordan Pro Strong, one of its early team sneakers that debuted in 1998. Those that do may be happy to hear that it's back in retro form, with a black/white colorway and a black/gold recently releasing. There are also leaked images of a white/black version that should be coming soon.

Curiously enough, the black and gold pair seems to be connected to this year's All-Star range of sneakers from Jordan Brand—it's got a Los Angeles map on the insole like this upcoming pair of "All-Star" Jordan 1s.

In what will likely come as a disappointment to longtime fans of the sneaker, some of its original tech is missing. According to Weartesters, the new retro lacks the original's carbon fiber shank and Zoom Air cushioning.
