A rare Air Jordan sample from the early 2000s may finally be getting an official retail release next month, just in time for 2018 NBA All Star Weekend: the "Clear Sole" Air Jordan 3.

The original sample pair took the standard "White Cement" colorway and replaced the grey outsole with a translucent one. Up until now, the only official Air Jordan 3 release with a clear outsole treatment has been the limited "Doernbecher" colorway.

According to @_PO2345 on Twitter, this pair will be very limited and also feature a special graphic visible through the sole that commemorates the 30th anniversary of MJ's win in the 1988 NBA Dunk Contest.

With the news of the "Clear Sole" release, this means that February's NBA All Star Weekend festivities will now be celebrated with two original colorways of the Air Jordan 3. The highly-anticipated "Black Cement" AJ3, complete with its OG Nike Air branding, is scheduled to drop drop on Feb. 18. It is has not been determined if this pair will also include the OG branding.

According to @zsneakerheadz, the "Clear Sole" Air Jordan 3 will be dropping on Valentine's Day, but an official release date and pricing has yet to be announced. In the meantime, check out a photo of the original sample below.
