Adidas' steady ascension in the footwear market can be traced back to Feb. 2013, when the brand launched its first ever Boost-cushioned sneaker, the Energy Boost. Five years later, Adi has seized some of Nike's once seemingly insurmountable momentum, overtaken Jordan Brand for the number 2 spot in the U.S. and become the "cool" brand among sneaker enthusiasts—all on the back of Boost.

To celebrate the 5-Year Anniversary of Boost, Adidas is bringing back the OG Energy Boost next month, but it won't be arriving alone. Part of an "Anniversary Pack," the latest variation of the Ultra Boost wears the colors of the original Energy Boost. In addition to the black Primeknit and iron branding, there's subtle hits of yellow on the tongue logo, insoles and lace tips.

The "Anniversary" Ultra Boost 4.0 will release at adidas.com and Adidas retailers on Thursday, Feb. 1 for $180.
