This Australian Sneaker Brand Made Its Own Yeezys (Sort Of)

The Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 is one of the most popular sneakers on the market today. But with a high demand and limited production numbers, fakes have run amok on the aftermarket. It has also led to more than a fair share of brands taking design inspiration from the popular silhouette. Australian sneaker brand Volley has done something that falls somewhere in between the two.

On Nov. 22, the brand posted a video on its Instagram of a pair of its Heritage International model sitting atop a midsole unit from the Yeezy Boost 350 V2. Although clearly this is meant solely as a joke to drum up attention and play off of the hype of Kanye West's sneakers, this clever post surely could have at least fooled a few people who came across it that were left to believe a brand would create such a blatant (and not so appealing) ripoff of a Yeezy model. While the Yeezy Boost ripoff is certainly a joke, the brand does sell these. Look familiar?

Volley Australia was founded in 1939 originally making footwear for the tennis court, but has since converted into a lifestyle brand of sorts similar to a brand like Converse or Vans
