Nike will not be letting the Los Angeles Lakers' retirement of Kobe Bryant's jersey go by without launching some special product around the moment. According to @J23app on Twitter, the brand will release commemorative jerseys in both his #8 and #24 on Dec. 18 to coincide with the retirement ceremony.
The jerseys have championship stars, "Black Mamba" text, and a reference to the ceremony date on the patch.
The jerseys will not come cheap, and are said to retail for a whopping $524.08 each.
Nike has not confirmed this release, although these leaked product images are evidence enough that it's happening.
This is not the first time Nike has released special Kobe Bryant jerseys since starting its new NBA deal. The brand also sold a limited number of triple-white tops at ComplexCon in November.
