It's the day you've all been waiting for. No, not Christmas Eve—it's time for the latest installment of our NBA #SoleWatch Power Rankings.

The biggest story in NBA sneakers this week was LeBron James' statement in Washington D.C. last Sunday. While a lot of stars of James' caliber have shied away from taking bold stances in the past, he tends to be very deliberate in using his platform in an effort to create social change. Hopefully Nike will make one or both pairs of his "Equality" sneakers available to the public in the future.

Elsewhere, following a week in which the Los Angeles Lakers celebrated Kobe Bryant, the team's rookie duo of Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma make their Power Rankings debuts. Special pairs worn in tribute to the Black Mamba got them both noticed.

Read on to find out where James and the Lakers rooks landed this week.
