Was it the shoes? That's one of the questions worth asking after Cavs forward J.R. Smith had his first decent game of the 2017-18 NBA season on Tuesday night. After playing in mostly non-LeBrons to start the season, he switched to the Nike LeBron 15 at the urging of LeBron James himself.

"I told him it was the shoes," James explained to Cleveland.com after the Cavs' win. "He finally decided to wear my shoes. After a long conversation we finally decided to wear them and he had a breakout game."

Smith has worn James' signature shoes in the past, but has stuck with Nike Kobe fare this season. Last night, he donned the Nike LeBron 15 "Pride of Ohio," a shoe that should release on Nov. 18.

Smith scored 20 points in 37 minutes of play during the Cavs' victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night.
