Last weekend's release of the latest pack of Pharrell x Adidas NMDs brought mayhem in lineups for the shoes. At Concepts in New York City, a fight broke out in front of the store, eventually spilling out onto the street. Video of the fight was widely circulated on social media.
In what appears to be a response to fights like this, Adidas posted on Twitter that the New York City release of the sneakers was "suspended." This came after Adidas locations in the city passed out wristbands for those lined up for the shoes.

The violence around these sneakers was not confined to the U.S.—this video on Reddit shows someone in Malaysia getting punched in the face over the Pharrell x Adidas NMD collection.
