Every now and then, sneakers are created for some unlikely people. This is definitely one of those instances. Ahead of his performance at Matthew Knight Arena this past Sunday, the University of Oregon gifted Jimmy Buffett with a custom pair of Nike Air Force Ones

Buffett might be known for some things: margaritas, cheeseburgers, and his dedicated fan base of Parrotheads, but the 70-year old musician certainly is not considered a sneakerhead by any stretch (he barely even wears shoes). Nonetheless, the University of Oregon decided to welcome him, "the only way [they] know how," according to the official Oregon Equipment Staff Twitter account, with a pair of Nikes of course. The pair features Hawaiian floral patterns painted on the toe box and heel panel, the phrases "Take A Holiday" and "You Need A Holiday" written on the left and right shoes, respectively, and a custom box with a similar floral pattern and phrasing written on it.

Even if this happening makes almost no sense, you can't knock Oregon for trying. Who knows? Maybe Buffett will even be featured in a future edition of Celebrity #SoleWatch when he decides to rock these one-of-ones.
