Today, GQ's Nov. 2017 cover story featuring LeBron James was released. Accompanying the piece was a series of photos of James dressed in everything from Alexander McQueen to Rick Owens. Of course, the lifetime Swoosh athlete was rocking Nikes on feet. He even debuted a never-before-seen pair of his latest signature, the LeBron 15.

This particular pair, called a custom by GQ, is dressed in a gold Battleknit upper with metallic gold accents, and a translucent outsole. Although these are considered a custom in the article, this could also potentially be an early look at some of the NIKEiD options that are on the way for James' 15th sneaker. All of this is purely speculative, as no official information has been announced regarding the LeBron 15's NIKEiD debut just yet.

Along with the golden pair of his own sneakers, LeBron also rocked a pair of Virgil Abloh x Nike Air Force 1s, and John Elliott x Nike Vandals in the GQ shoot as well.

UPDATE: According to his Instagram account, this pair appears to be a 1-of-1 custom done by Dominic Chambrone aka The Shoe Surgeon, especially for LeBron's GQ photoshoot.
