On the same day that LeBron James' 15th signature model debuted at retailers in the "Ghost" colorway, Bron also debuted a brand new pair on the court during his season opener against the Boston Celtics in Cleveland.
The pair is fairly simple, and features a black Battleknit upper, black accents, and matte black midsole and Air unit. The standout detail of this pair is the metallic gold Swoosh, and "EQUALITY" embroidered in metallic gold across each heel. This alludes to Nike's "Equality" campaign that debuted last February in an effort to bring together all races, genders, religions, and preferences in the midst of the country's tough current social climate.
The message behind this PE is particularly special to James, who continues to be a voice on many of the current social issues in the United States as of late. It's not yet clear if this pair is exclusive to James, or if it will release at retail in the future.
