When discussing the auto-lacing Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 sneaker with High Snobiety, Vice President for Design and Special Projects Tinker Hatfield dropped a bombshell regarding its successor.
As Hatfield mentioned last year, the HyperAdapt 2.0 will be a performance basketball sneaker. While he's unsure of when the shoe will hit the market, he confirms that the model is currently in development.
"We don't really know when it's going to hit the market or be in the NBA, but it will be there for sure," said Hatfield.
The HyperAdapt 1.0 currently rings up at $720, but Nike says the 2.0 and beyond will arrive at more "accessible price points."
Also in the clip, Hatfield shares his thoughts on Breaking2, Artificial Intelligence and Virgil Abloh. Check it out above.
