After leaving Super Bowl 51 early, Mark Wahlberg got some sweet redemption by watching his beloved New England Patriots open the 2017 season against the Kansas City Chiefs last night. However, the Chiefs kicked the Patriots' asses, so Wahlberg is on quite the personal losing streak when it comes to attending football games.
Everything isn't bad in Wahlberg's world, particularly when it comes to his footwear. Earlier this week, the actor linked up with his friend and Jordan Brand associate DJ Khaled for a special pickup—two pairs of the "Grateful" Air Jordan 3 collaboration, one of which he wore on the sidelines last night. Wahlberg previously sent Khaled his Transformers-themed Air Jordan 5s, so it was only right that the favor was returned.
When they met up, Wahlberg and Khaled also hinted at coming together for a future Air Jordan collaboration. Both men have a way of speaking these things into existence, so don't be surprised to see that become a reality one day.
