Earlier this week, market analyst Matt Powell confirmed that Adidas has surpassed Jordan Brand in the footwear market, taking the second overall spot behind Nike. The news highlights a year in which Adidas has more than doubled its market share, currently holding on to about 13 percent.

Adidas' growth continues to fuel the Nike vs. Adidas debate, specifically as it pertains to Kanye West and his Yeezy line. Have Yeezy and Adidas officially jumped over the Jumpman? The topic was discussed on this week's episode of Full Size Run.

"I think this is fantastic," said Rich "MaZe" Lopez. "It's great for everybody, because it's going to push Jordan, Nike and Adidas to continually make better products."

Keeping everything in perspective, Brendan Dunne points out that Nike has a considerably large lead for the top spot.

"Keep in mind that all of Adidas' business in the U.S. is only beating this one piece of Nike's puzzle, which also includes Converse."

Understanding that the holiday season is Jordan Brand's annual bread and butter, Lopez believes it can overtake Adidas again by the end of the year.

"I'm saying that Jordan always owns the fourth quarter. Holiday season is Jordan. So, Adidas, ride your wave now. Have fun. Jordan will be back."

Also on this week's episode, the crew talks Nike x NBA, Nike Flyleather, Jordan Brand's holiday preview and more. View the full unedited version of the show on Facebook and subscribe to Full Size Run on iTunes for weekly audio.
