New Balance is continuing its storied relationship with Boston boutique Concepts with the latest collaboration between the two brands on the 997.5 model.

This newest upcoming release entitled "Esplanade" is inspired by the activity area that spans the Charles River in Boston. The upper features grey synthetic leather, a teal mesh toe box, teal suede heel, yellow pigskin suede tongue, and white 3M hits on the mid panels and New Balance logo. Red detailing is present on the Concepts branded dubraes, and insoles. This special pair will also come with yellow, white, and teals lace options, as well as special packaging inspired by the shoe's theme.

The base model used for this collaboration, the 997.5, combines the upper of the 997 model with the Abzorb midsole tooling found on the 998.

The Concepts x New Balance 997.5 "Esplanade" releases Friday, Sept. 8 for $225 at all Concepts locations, and on cncpts.com.
