A Canadian yoga studio has beef with Big Baller Brand, and the owner is claiming the upstart sneaker company stole its logo, CTV News reports. Hana Engel, the owner of Modern Body in Ottawa, feels that the mark used on LaMelo Ball's first signature sneaker is too close to that of her small business.
"My jaw dropped," she told CTV News when describing her reaction to the shoes.
According to CTV News, she's had a copyright lawyer send a letter to Big Baller Brand over the similar logos.
The Melo Ball 1 shoe has a stylized "MB" logo on its tongue. Modern Body uses the same letters for its logo.
This isn't the first time Big Baller Brand has been accused of lifting logos—after Lonzo Ball's shoe was revealed, Ohio State wide receiver coach Zach Smith accused Big Baller Brand of appropriating his mark.
