Ahead of this weekend's Berlin Marathon, Adidas unveils an update to its Adizero Sub2 racing shoe, following an initial release earlier this year. Made for Kenyan athletes Wilson Kipsang, Patrick Makau and Felix Kandie to wear Sunday, the elite version of the runner is presented in black, with a full-length marbled Boost Light sole.

Along with the cloud-like Boost cushioning setup, the shoe features a single-layer ultralight fabric upper engineered from reduced weight mesh, advanced Microfit technology and Continental Microweb tooling to maximize grip and reduce slippage.

Adizero is Adidas' fast franchise and is responsible for four world records. Kipsang raced his way to victory in Sub2 at the Toyko Marathon in February.

In addition to Adidas athletes, the limited edition Berlin Marathon sneakers can be won by runners who start in Group A and can post a time below 2:50 hours. Twenty-five pairs will be up for grabs at the Adizero Sub2 Studio located at the Berlin Marathon Expo.
