Currently making waves with his new EP, Father FiGGA, rapper Trinidad James is doing his part to help the homeless in his city of Atlanta.
Today, James and Versus Atlanta teamed up to collect new and gently used sneakers as part of a drive for the homeless. In the video above, you can see that James tapped into his personal stash for rare Air Jordans, Nikes, Adidas and Reebok.
In the end, they collected about 200 pairs to put on the feet of the homeless, but James insists there's more work to do.
"We collected close to 200 pairs of sneakers today and gave to the homeless, which felt great. At first," said James on Instagram. "I learned today that the city is closing down the shelter that most of the homeless in the inner city stay at. Single men, women with children will have nowhere to live. When a mother with 9 children says that to you, you first wonder if they're lying. Second, you then remember how blessed you have it. I just wanna tell my followers to put a prayer in the air for the shelter. Anything can help."
