Yesterday marked the release of Tyler, The Creator's latest collaboration with Converse, the Converse One Star "Golf Le Fleur" pack. Hundreds of fans lined up in front of Foot Locker's Times Square location for a chance to cop the shoes, and Complex News was there for it all.
This special release event not only gave fans a chance to cop one of four colorways of the Converse One Star, but the opportunity to attend a secret Tyler, The Creator show as well. The first 150 people in line to purchase a pair of Tyler's sneakers also received two tickets to a show he would be performing later that night at New York's Webster Hall.
As can be expected, the line was crazy, with some fans even admitting they had been camping out since 6 p.m. the night prior, and skipping work for the opportunity. Odd Future fans also got a chance to meet the man himself, who was in attendance for photo ops and autographs.
The Converse One Star x Tyler, The Creator 'Golf Le Fleur' pack marks the second collaboration between Converse and Tyler, and coincides with his latest album Scum Fuck Flower Boy. The collaboration included yellow, peach, lavender, and baby blue colorways, as well as a bee embroidered on the heel, and sold out within minutes at Foot Locker and other retailers.
