In one of the more surprising collaborative moves in recent history, Adidas is officially acknowledging Hender Scheme's high-end reproductions of its own products by teaming up with the Japanese brand. According to Business of Fashion, the two will collaborate on Micropacers, NMDs, and Superstars.
This collaboration was previewed earlier this summer by Motofumi "Poggy" Kogi, who posted a first image of the Micropacer from this collection online.
Just like Hender Scheme's own sneakers, these will be made in Japan, meaning that prices will be between $900 and $1,000. As Hender Scheme is handling the manufacturing, the production will be limited in quantities, with just 300 pairs of each of the first three styles being produced.
Business of Fashion reports that the first Hender Scheme x Adidas will release on Sept. 2, and that more are on the way.
