Released in 2013, the "Crimson" Air Jordan 3 debuted during a time when Jordan Brand was getting away with just about anything in terms of wild colorways. The shoe dropped with elephant print in purple, but it could have looked a lot different had this sample been pushed through.

Collector and reseller Oregonsole recently shared this look-see version, which features snakeskin print overlays on the heels in place of the model's most famous detail. These obviously never made it to mass production, but they may serve as a clue for future retro ideas. In recent years, the brand has applied snakeskin to releases like the Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 11 Low.
