This weekend will bring the release of the "Baseball" Air Jordan 9, a sneaker styled after a baseball glove that references Michael Jordan's time away from the game of basketball in the mid-1990s. The sneakers will release in two colorways on July 15.

Ahead of the Saturday launch, Jordan Brand has released a list of stores where the shoes will be available. The below retailers will carry these pairs:

NikeLab 21 Mercer
Kinetics Tokyo 23
Sports Lab Shinjuku
Sports Lab Osaka
A Ma Maniere
Wish Atlanta
Social Status Charlotte
RSVP Chicago

This is a mystery release, with the sneakers coming packaged in a black bag inside their box that hides which colorway is inside. Shoppers won't be able to pick between the black and brown pair, and won't know which they've got until they purchase the shoes and open the bag. The special packaging is meant to evoke the feeling of opening up a pack of baseball cards.

The black and brown pairs are tied to Jordan's time with the Birmingham Barons and the Scottsdale Scorpions, respectively. Jordan Brand's Frank Cooke has confirmed on Instagram that the brown pair is the more limited of this duo.

Jordan Brand is labeling this a "Pinnacle" release, meaning the sneakers use materials that are a cut above those found on standard retros. It also means the prices goes up, with this Air Jordan 9 retailing for $250.
