The next collaborative sneaker project from Tyler, the Creator of Odd Future fame will come from Converse, which announced a partnership with the rapper via the above video launched this week. First up for the Tyler x Converse line is a suede pair of the One Star, a silhouette the brand has been putting energy around recently with limited releases by design partners like Footpatrol and Dinosaur Jr.

Tyler has previously released sneakers with Vans, but lyrics from his forthcoming album, Scum Fuck Flower Boy, suggest that relationship soured and prompted him to seek a new sponsor. As noted by GQ, Tyler raps on the song "I Ain't Got Time!" that "conversations with Converse finalized, 'cause Vans fucked up."

There is evidence that Tyler was also working with Adidas via his Golf line, but nothing has become of that yet.

While Converse hasn't officially unveiled Tyler, the Creator's sneakers save for the preview in the above promo video, official images and a release date have leaked. The below shots show the design, which is expected to release on July 13, in full. The insole refers directly to the aforementioned album, where its title and flowery cover art appear.
