Yes, Reebok is in the business of space boots. The brand unveiled a model on Tuesday called the Floatride Space Boot SB-01 that's being tested by astronauts and will be worn by them during travel to and from the International Space Station.
Reebok says the use of its Floatride foam represents a step forward in celestial footwear.
"Reebok Floatride Foam introduced three revolutionary elements to the space boot," said Matt Montross from Reebok's innovation team. "It decreased the overall weight significantly, it brought the added comfort in a space boot and support that you would expect in a running shoe, and it delivered a new level of sleekness and style."
This cushioning system debuted in the Reebok Floatride Run, which launched in April. Next for the line is the super-light Floatride Racer that Reebok says will release in 2018.
