Lonzo Ball's summer sneaker choices have been curious to say the least. The young Los Angeles Laker has consistently switched brands, wearing his own signature shoe before playing in Nikes, Jordans, Adidas, and Under Armours. His father, LaVar, previously said he approved, and more recently suggested there's a deeper motivation behind the wide variety of shoes.
"It's making a statement to the brands of what they could have had with an open mind," LaVar told ESPN. He added that there was still a possibility of his son signing to one of the big sportswear brands that previously passed on him "if the price is right" before reiterating that his family is a "billion-dollar brand."
If LaVar does indeed stick with the billion-dollar asking price, it's incredibly unlikely that Lonzo will ever land with Adidas, Nike, or Under Armour.
