Released exclusively in New York City last August, the "Red Apple" Adidas NMD currently resells in the ballpark of $2,000. Fortunately, for the sneakerhead not willing to drop a few months of rent on a pair of shoes, a very similar version is being widely released this summer.
Unofficially dubbed "Red Apple 2.0," this pair features a bright red Primeknit upper, with hits of burgundy knitted into the pattern. Black works the 3-Stripes, eyestay, pull-tab and heel, while white Boost and a red outsole sit below. There's a few differences, but not $1,800 worth.
This money-saver will arrive later this summer at a retail price of $170. We'll provide you with the official release date once it's announced.
