New York City based chef David Chang and Nike SB are teaming up for a new sneaker collaboration.

Inspired by Chang's famous Momofuku Noodle Bar in the East Village, the Nike SB Dunk High "Momofuku" acts as a perfect blend between food and skate culture. While the SB Dunk silhouette is an undeniable classic among skaters, the dark grey denim upper mimics Chang's aprons and his laid back approach to kitchen dressing in comparison to the typical whites and blues associated with French haute cuisine.

Momofuku branding is incorporated into the design on the tongue on the heel with its peach logo. The sneakers come as Chang's first branded collaboration. "I don't want to throw our logo on, like, a T-shirt," said Chang. "This one feels like it counts."

The numbers "163" and "207" mark the insoles, representing the addresses of Chang's Fuku and Ssäm Bar restaurants in NYC, respectively. To complete the design of the sneakers, simple white midsoles and gum outsoles are used.

The Nike SB Dunk High "Momofuku" will be available on June 22 at Fuku (163 First Avenue, New York, NY 10003) starting at 10 a.m., and on June 23 at select Nike retailers.
