Nike is taking full advantage of the stage offered by the 2017 NBA Finals by outfitting its sponsored athletes involved with all sorts of exciting footwear. While he's not a signature athlete on the level of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, or LeBron James, Warriors power forward Draymond Green will be stepping out in something special for Game 1 on Thursday night.
Green will debut the Nike React Hyperdunk 2017 Flyknit seen here. The shoe uses a new cushioning system called Nike React, which contributes to the brand calling it the "most innovative iteration" in the nine-year history of the Hyperdunk line.
Green gushed over wearing the sneakers in a writeup on the new Hyperdunks at Nike.
"To be the first to wear the latest Hyperdunk means the world to me, we’re talking about Nike Basketball here, the biggest athletes in the world and being the first one to actually try this new technology is amazing," he said. "Mom, I made it. When you’re talking about Nike, you’re talking things that last for decades."
