Despite coming from completely different sports, Kobe Bryant and Paul Rodriguez have one thing in common—they've been long-time Nike athletes. And soon enough, they will have yet another likeness as P-Rod gets his tenth signature sneaker with the Swoosh.
Kobe Bryant is already on his twelfth signature sneaker with the brand, the Nike Kobe A.D. In a video posted by Nike SB, Bryant is seen writing a congratulatory note to the legendary pro skater that reads, "Congratulations on your tenth signature shoe! Welcome to the club!"
P-Rod posted the same video on his Instagram with the caption indicating a July 1 release date of the Nike SB P-Rod 10.
Being from Los Angeles, P-Rod has recognized Bryant many times with cameos in videos like the "Today Was a Good Day" Nike SB ad. With several Air Jordan-inspired P-Rod sneakers paying homage to MJ already released, could there be a Kobe version coming soon?
