Francisco Lindor is one of the most popular young players in baseball, as evidenced by his massive lead in All-Star voting. He helped take the Cleveland Indians to the World Series in 2016, and picked up a Platinum Glove along the way for being the top defensive player in the American League. Pepsi has brought together Lindor's brand partners New Balance and Rawlings to create a Gold Glove Pack to honor his success.
The kit, which is housed in a handmade wooden home plate case, includes a custom pair of New Balance 574s. The shoes use Horween leather accents and "BC 12" detailing on the heels (standing for "Be Consistent" and his jersey number) to match Lindor’s 3000v3 cleats. Also included in the pack is a limited edition Rawlings glove with metallic gold trim and a Pepsi bottle dipped and plated in 18-karat gold. The box itself features a liner made of deconstructed on-field jerseys.
While the set won't be hitting retail, there will be chances to win it. Also, the sneakers and the glove will each be sold exclusively at Cleveland boutique Xhibition, where two colorways of the 574s and the glove will launch in store on Thursday, June 8, at 7:30 p.m. The sneakers will also be available online at Xhibition on Friday, June 9, at 10 a.m.
Additionally, Sole Collector will provide a chance to win the whole set—stay tuned for more details on that.
