Last week, DJ Khaled added to his list of major moves by announcing his own official Air Jordan collaboration. New York consignment shop Stadium Goods got the chance to talk to Khaled about the Air Jordan 3 "Grateful" and what it meant to be able to create his own colorway of his favorite model.

"This has been a dream of mine," Khaled says in the video above. "I've been working on this for 15 years."

The red leather Air Jordan 3 features no shortage of signature branding, with "We The Best" logos on the back tab, footbed, and hang tag, as well as Khaled-favorite hashtags like "#blessed" written on the inside of the back pull tab. The shoe's colorway is inspired by both Khaled's favorite team, the Miami Heat, and Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls.

"I've had this design in my phone for four or five years," says Khaled.

For now, these look to be a friends and family exclusive, with Khaled also planning on gifting pairs to less fortunate kids. No details for a wider release are available yet for the "Grateful" Air Jordan 3, but Khaled's album Grateful drops Friday, June 23.
