Converse has joined forces once again with frequent collaborator Missoni to release two new pairs of low tops. This time the classic lifestyle footwear brand and Italian knitwear brand are combining to deliver a new take on an old favorite.
This new collab offers up two colorways of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star '70 Slip model. However, these are far from the standard All Star '70 silhouette we are used to seeing. Debuting in Missoni's Spring/Summer 2017 Milan Fashion Show, these pairs take inspiration from traditional Latin American sandals, making them perfect for the upcoming warm months of summer. An indicator of this theme can be seen in the brown leather foxing and overlays on the upper.
The obvious touch from Missoni is the multicolored knit uppers present on both pairs. Each one utilizes the same multicolor knit pattern, the only difference being that one pair features a predominantly navy blue upper, and the other features a predominantly cream upper. Each pair is finished off with a gum outsole.
The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star '70 Slip x Missoni will release June 10 through Converse retail stores, select Converse stockists, and online at Converse.com for a price of $200.
