It was a bittersweet moment when Ramir Nuestro was successful in reaching out to NBA MVP Stephen Curry to have him sign his daughter Kimberly's Under Armour sneakers.

Last Saturday, the 16-year old Homestead High sophomore collapsed and stopped breathing during a game, minutes after taking a nasty spill on the court. Nuestro, who wore number 30 in honor of Curry, died at Stanford Medical Center the next day.

Knowing that one of his daughter's wishes was to eventually have Curry sign a pair of her sneakers, Ramir reached out to the All-Star guard through social media. Curry responded by signing some of her Warriors gear and the shoes she wore in her last game.

"Speechless," said Nuestro when asked about how he felt about making one of his daughter's wishes come true.
