Nike is revamping its SNKRS app with a new feature that allows the brand to launch shoes in specific geographic locations. The brand will debut this new way of selling shoes, called the SNKRS Stash, with the release of the Just Don x Air Jordan 2 "Arctic Orange."

SNKRS app users should get notifications about this first release today, with a geo-location going live in Los Angeles at noon PST. Shoppers who head to a designated location in the specified time window will have the ability to purchase the sneakers online via the Nike SNKRS Stash card. The launch works something like a scavenger hunt—the mystery location won't be immediately revealed, and users will have to follow clues to find it. Nike has a landing page explaining the feature here.

Those who aren't able to purchase this pair through the app can watch for the Just Don x Air Jordan 2 pictured to release in limited numbers on Saturday, May 13. The sneakers will only be available in extended girls' sizing.

Nike's SNKRS app debuted in 2015 and has since been the go-to platform for the brand's high-heat launches. This is the first time Nike has tried this sort of geographic approach to releases with the app.
