Nike is no stranger to re-releasing certain silhouettes frequently and the Cortez—particularly its original white, red, and blue colorway—is one of them.
While the runner is classic in its own right, its appearance in the 1994 film Forrest Gump popularized the colorway for a mainstream audience. Now, after multiple releases with slight variations, the Nike Cortez OG is hitting retailers yet again. The sneakers feature a white leather upper, red Nike branding, and a blue accented midsole.
Anybody who's interested in the Forrest Gump's Nike Cortezes should already have a pair by now, but if not, here's another chance. The Nike Cortez SE "OG" is scheduled to release for $80 on June 1 via Nike SNKRS. Men's and women's sizes will be available.
