Sushi and sneakers seem like two things that don't go together at all, but Milan-based chef and artist Yujia Hu, also known as @theonigiriart on Instagram, found a way to bring two of his passions together.
Using three simple ingredients—fish, rice and seaweed—Hu creates sushi versions of the hottest sneakers on the market today. Some of his works include the recent released Supreme x Nike Air More Uptempo, Air Jordan 1, Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2, Adidas Hu NMD and Adidas NMD.
While there are plenty of other sneakers he's made out of sushi, his food artwork extends to characters of celebrities, too. According to Hu, he transitioned to sneakers after making edible NBA players like this sushi Michael Jordan. To see more of his work check out his Instagram.
