Avenue Adidas EQT 93 16 Support 5

Euro sneaker store Avenue is aiming high with its latest Adidas collaboration, boldly attaching two shoes it designed with the brand to the Antwerp Six, a group of Belgian fashion designers who emerged in the 1980s. Avenue is in the same neighborhood as the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, the school the group attended, hence the connection here.

The Antwerp Six consisted of Walter van Beirendonck, Ann Demeulemeester, Dries van Noten, Dirk Van Saene, Dirk Bikkembergs, and Marina Yee.

According to an Adidas release on the shoes, the EQT 93/16 Support pairs are inspired by Scandinavia and look to incorporate "the progressive design language from the Antwerp Six." The shoes have embroidery referencing Scandinavian fabric design and premium aniline leather.

The Avenue x Adidas EQT 93/16 Support sneakers seen here will release first at Avenue on May 27 for $200 each. After that, global Adidas Consortium retailers will stock the shoes on June 3.
