Jordan Brand's retail footprint in North America is about to get bigger with the opening of a sizable new store in Los Angeles. Urbanize.la reports that the Nike-owned imprint will occupy a space at 620 S. Broadway.

The space is said to be a mixture of retail and consumer experience, complete with a VIP lounge and rooftop basketball court. This experiential approach to brick and mortar stores has been used by Nike more and more frequently, perhaps the best recent example being its Nike Soho store in New York City.

An application to the city of Los Angeles details plans for the store and mentions Foot Locker, suggesting that this will be another store partnered with Footaction, which is owned by the same parent company as Foot Locker.

Jordan Brand already has a Flight 23 store in Los Angeles, having opened at Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade in 2015. That opening was marked by an exclusive pair of Jordan 1s paying tribute to Los Angeles.

UPDATE 9/29: Jordan Brand has announced that its Downtown Los Angeles store will open on Oct. 20.
