Jordan Brand has been transitioning their offerings to be summer friendly for the past few months, with low-cut and clean colorways becoming more prevalent. May sees this trend hit its stride with a lineup full of white sneakers, low tops, and white low tops, as evidenced by the month’s first drop–an Air Jordan 31 Low in the ever-popular “Pure Platinum” colorway.
In a slight break from the all-white-everything theme, an OG Air Jordan 1 returns, albeit still in a summer-friendly colorway. The “Metallic Red” 1s still feature a mostly white look, with bright red trim. While previously retroed in 2009 with Jumpman branding, this is the first time we’ve seen the colorway return in its original form.
Another favorite from the Jordan Brand archives hits the following weekend with the return of the “Pure Money” Air Jordan 4. The sneaker first dropped back in May of 2006, and will be coming back for the first time almost exactly 11 years later.
Following last month’s “UNC” colorway, there’s another Air Jordan 11 Low headed to retail. This time around it features the oft-used “Barons” color scheme, a nod to MJ’s baseball days.
