The Adidas NMD has another geographically-oriented release in the works via this colorway that references the Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo. According to Adidas, the sneakers will release on May 20 exclusively at Adidas Originals flagship stores globally. While the sneaker is Tokyo-themed, there is no mention of it being exclusive to Adidas stores in Japan.
The model references its inspiration with striped sections in black and white looking like the crosswalks in Shibuya. The silhouette used is the Adidas NMD R2, meaning that it lacks blocks on the midsole.
Hypebeast reports that the Adidas NMD R2 "Tokyo" will be available at Originals stores in Berlin, New York, Mexico City, Paris, London, Milan, Moscow, Shanghai, Tokyo and Seoul.
