Ahead of Monday's running of the 121st Boston Marathon, Adidas unveils special sneakers made exclusively for the event.
Engineered for runners in need of energy return to cross the finish line, the Adizero Adios bears the marathon's famous blue and yellow scheme, along with custom tongue tags and mileage marking on the heel. Pairs will be sold at the Boston Marathon RunBase and Expo for $170.
Additionally, Adidas announced a new partnership with Kathrine Switzer, the first woman to ever run the Boston Marathon, and 261 Fearless. During the two-year pack, Adidas will supply running gear and expertise to the non-profit, which is designed to power the community to break new ground in running.
